DEPRESSION
Depression is a consequence of a brain alteration. There are some biochemical changes in the brain of the depressed patient that are quite common and it have allowed several chemical products with high efficiency.
Symptoms of depression are similar to those existing in a state of sadness. The highlight is the sadness with the lack of illusion for what commonly illusions us. Sometimes sadness is expressed with tears. It is accompanied with a motor iniciative disorder, with great difficulty to initiate any activity. Many times the symptoms are more intense during the morning and improves by evening. The dream is altered, fundamentally with midnight insomia: the patient get to sleep and wakes up at midnight. The main risk is suicide. Some people are more prone to depression than other, between them, obsesive or panic disordered individuals.
Many patients requires treatment. The drug are generally effective and depression patients gets cured or improves significatly with the treatment. ANXIETY
Can be considered as a synonim of anguish. It is defined as a status of activation of the nervous system which is accompanied of feelings like fear or uncertainty and body changes like palpitations, shakiness, sweating, etc.
Panic Crisis These episodes are frequent in persons with anxiety disorders. It has to do with episodes of fear to something uncertain, that appears sometimes in determined environmental situations, other times are unchained by an idea. Often manifests with chest pain mimicking a heart attack, nervousness, tremor, sweating and great tachycardia. Many persons feels tingling in hands and mouth because of rapid breathing. It is often noticed a feeling of suffocation or drowning, needing sigh. This can las from several minutes to hours. OBSESIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDERS
This disease is manifested by obsessive ideas and compulsive acts. The obsessive idea is a repetitive idea, against the will of the individual. This leads to suffering, because the idea is unpleasant and undesirable. Compulsive acts are generally meaningless: washing the hands more than 20 times, or having to touch an object in a determined moment. Also, acts like taking off the eyelashes or bitting the nails are compulsive acts. An obsessive personality sign is to watch the key of the gas more than 5 times to make sure that it is closed.
This disease can be inherited along with the nervous tics. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is more frequent in women, whereas tics are more common in men.
SQUIZOPHRENIA AND OTHER PSYCHOSES
A group of serious diseases of the brain are psychoses. They alters the thinking in a way that patient distorts the reality. The broken thinking of the psychoses patient is abnormal for everybody else. Is what everybody knows as madness.
Among psychoses the most known disease, by its frequency and importance is the squizophrenia. This is the most common cause of squizophrenia. The people fears that a depression or an anxiety disorder might be converted into squizophrenia, but, this don't happens. They are completely different diseases.
Squizophrenia is a disease with unknown causes. Probably inheritance is important than predisposition to suffer it. It can begin in youth ages or in the first years of adulthood. Paranoid squizophrenia is the most frequent. In it, the patients use to have a sensation that others speak of them or acts against them.
